Sky panels for drop ceilings
Winter’s grey. Your ceiling doesn’t have to be.
LED sky panels go into a regular 2x2 drop ceiling, in the same openings the old flat panels sat in. Offices, basements, any dull room with a grid ceiling. I’ll tell you at the walkthrough whether yours takes them.
BeforeAfter Same office. Same ceiling grid.
Two flat 2x2 panels came out and two Feit Vista sky panels went into the same openings. No drywall. Tap the wall switch for sky, plain white light, or both.

Dmitry Naboka, Master Electrician, licence number 13824, 14 years in the trade. Ask any contractor for a licence number and check it before you pay a deposit. Ours is on every quote, every permit and the bottom of every page on this site.
The permit is what makes the work legal and insurable, and it is what gets asked for when you sell. It is filed before the work starts, under our own licence, and it is priced as its own line so you can see exactly what it cost.
Five people, all Raydn, since August 2025. The crew that quotes the job is the crew that builds it. Kyle Verbeek, co owner and Journeyman, carries 20 years on the tools.
Model numbers on the quote. A NEMA 14-50 receptacle, a Wallbox Pulsar Plus, a DCC controller, a 200 A panel. You can look every one of them up. A quote that only says quality materials is a quote that can swap them for something cheaper.
The price you sign is the price you pay. If a wall opens and the job is genuinely bigger, work stops and you hear the new number before I carry on. You are never finding out at the invoice.
On our labour, in writing. On solar work the hardware carries its own manufacturer cover on top, 25 years on the panels and 25 years on the microinverters.

The person behind the company
I’m Dmitry.
I’m on the tools too.
I’m a Master Electrician and co-owner of Raydn. We do the everyday electrical work, the bigger upgrades and the solar. You don’t need a roof full of panels to call us.

The TV quit. The outlet behind the couch was melting.
The problem was not the TV outlet. It was one further up the line, behind the curtains and the couch, where nobody would ever look. It had been wired the quick way.
Behind the couchMelting, inside the wall.
Heat turned the screws dark and melted the plastic around them, right by the curtains.
Heat like this inside a wall is a fire risk.
The quick wayPushed into the back to save time.
- Wires pushed into small spring clips in the back, instead of wrapped around the screws.
- Every outlet after it on the circuit is fed through those clips.
- When a clip works loose it runs hot, inside the wall, where nobody sees it.
How we do itWrapped around the screw and tightened down.
- Wires joined in the box with connectors, so the circuit never runs through the outlet.
- A short lead to the outlet, wrapped around the screw and checked tight.
- If an outlet ever fails, everything after it keeps working.
The same box, before and after we redid it.
It takes longer. We do it anyway, on every job, panels, chargers and solar included. Doing it right once beats finding it melted behind a couch.
